Gran Bahia Principe

Activities

Tennis: Take advantage of three floodlit tennis courts onsite, and there's also a tennis pro. Free use of racquets and balls. If you want to play tennis, make sure you reserve the day before.

Golf: If you think golfing and vacation are synonyms, you will be happy to know that nearby the resort is the Puerto Aventuras Golf Club, featuring a 3,200+ yard 9-hole course. The well-designed courses, the great weather, and spectacular surroundings here and in Playacar make golfing a must during your vacation!

Water Sports: Enjoy snorkeling, swimming, and kayaking. There is a scuba clinic at the resort. In order to protect the natural reef, motorized sports are not allowed. Other non-motorized sports are available, such as windsurfing, catamarans, boogie-boards, and a diving clinic in the pool.

Other Land Sports: Mountain bikes, volleyball, soccer, table tennis, archery, gym lessons, aerobics and Merengue and Salsa lessons.

Children's Club: El Principito Mini Club is a fun haven for your children. Supervised activities and close security protect your children and ensure they have a fun time, too. Ages 4 through 12 eligible for attendance.

Gran Bahia Principe Kids Club

Pools: If you are a pool person you are going to love the giant pools. Three free form pools converge into La Isla, the swim-up bar in the middle of the water. Loungers are available and towel service is available throughout the pool area.

Gran Bahia Principe Beach

Beach: The beach is beautiful, but it is quite rocky in parts, smooth and sandy in others. Bring a pair of water shoes with you. The water is clear and you can see many fish. Perfect waves for body surfing. Lounge chairs dot the beach so you will have a comfortable place to relax and seek some shade. Enjoy sunbathing, strolling along the beach, or a good snooze under the umbrella as the gentle ocean breeze and calm waves provide a relaxing rhythm.

Fishing: Go to Playa del Carmen, take the Cozumel ferry, and take a fishing trip to Cozumel Island, which boasts some of the best fishing anywhere - several fishing excursions are available. Different tours depending on what you want to catch. Many excursions include fishing equipment, tackle, bait, snacks, refreshments, and pick up and drop off.

Shopping: The hotel lobby shop carries essentials such as a variety of beach clothes, lotions and sunscreens, gifts and souvenirs. On-site shopping is a unique experience at the Doña Isabel Hacienda, an entertainment and shopping village right within the resort. In this brightly colored replica of a small Mexican town, you will find daily live music, shows, and shops of many kinds. If that doesn’t quench your shopping thirst, head on up to Playa del Carmen! Quintana Avenida (5th Avenue) is the main shopping street there, open exclusively to pedestrians. There are beautiful art galleries there, featuring works from artists throughout Mexico, handcrafts from all over the country, including jewelry, silver, furniture, clothing, shoes, and much, much more. Cancun is also a fun place to unload some pesos.
